One man rock band
Every part of your wedding film is important, but if you have put a lot of thought into showing your guests a good time, you are going to want a record of them going crazy!
I LOVE filming the party... I give people an hour or so to get warmed up and then get the camera rolling. Stupid crazy dancing, romantic sashaying, friends belting out an anthem... the energy of the day culminates here and gets released!
And it's not just on the dance floor... observing merry guests at the bar, trying to find their shoes, blabbering on about their love for the hosts, falling into the toilet... all of it is gold, pure spun gold.
At Hester and Jim’s wedding the guests went wild for a solo guitarist with a great voice. I have rarely seen one man inspire such feverish partying from a roomful of people. He belted out the classics new and old, but it was Hey Jude that really did it. I loved filming people reacting to the song, and here’s a clip (I have upgraded my sound equipment since then.. this doesn’t quite do justice to his voice!):
