And the rings?

This was a source of some rowing between my fiancé and I. His grandfather had left him the signet ring he had worn all his life, with his initials engraved on the outside, and he was desperate to wear it as his wedding ring. For me, signet rings are synonymous with Del Boy and possibly Jason Statham. Basically I was being a bit of a snob about it; coupled with the fact that I would have preferred my initials to be inside my husband’s wedding ring. Rank sexism of course, since women wear their grandmothers’ wedding rings all the time. In the end, I got used to it and of course, I love the ring now. As for mine, I was determined not to have a traditional gold wedding band; I wanted something unusual, young, and a bit sexy. I love texture, so when I found Ruth Tomlinson’s fine, beaded wedding bands I was delighted! I get a lot of comments on it and it’s very beautiful stacked with my engagement ring.
