WICKED MOMS

I have come across a few absolutely wonderful mothers at my weddings. I don’t know why I am always particularly impressed when they let their hair down. I guess they could easily let the stress, or the emotion of seeing their kids fly the nest, get to them. They can be a really strong presence when they relax and join the party - for some reason it brings a new energy to things.

There was Megan’s mum, who played the harp at the ceremony and then partied like it was 1999 all night. She managed to be so fun and chic at the same time. Then there was Nicole’s mum, who was just so elegant and contented, and was very clearly a strong force in Nicole ‘s life (referenced poignantly by Nicole’s dad in his speech). Charlotte’s mum was so much fun and out-partied a lot of the kids, and looked absolutely stunning in her green hat. Tom’s mum seemed so full of the joie de vivre and clearly adored his new wife Charlotte. And Dan’s mum, whose lovely husband was suffering with Alzheimers at the wedding, and who very sadly passed away not long after, still seemed truly in the moment and full of joy for everything. I loved them all! Their confidence, and the power and dynamism they brought to proceedings. HM ENDORSES WICKED MOMS EVERYWHERE
