LONDON WEDDING VENUES - ZETTER TOWNHOUSE AND ARTISAN - ST JOHN'S SQUARE, EC1V

The Zetter Townhouse must be one of the cosiest and stylish hotels in London – and an unbelievable backdrop for photos in terms of the outside, and the dramatic, richly decorated rooms on the inside. It almost presents as a members-only type space, with its very bespoke feel and intimate restaurant/bar. But not at all – all are welcome to stay in the hotel or drop by for a drink or dinner. The staff couldn’t do enough to make Rachel and Ben’s day special – tidying the room for them after the departure of family and friends and readying drinks and snacks for their return after the party.

On the day of the wedding the entrance was decorated with the most incredible flower arch I’ve ever seen. Guests spilled onto the cobbled Clerkenwell streets with their cocktails, the sun beat down, and the neighbourhood cafes and passer-bys added to atmosphere of buzzy London summertime cool.

After the photo call, guests moved onto Artisan next door, an industrial-feel club/bar, whose very friendly staff served canapés to the milling guests on the terrace and inside.

I really adored these venues. Turns out St John’s square is a pretty idyllic wedding spot!
